Lemon Pepper Chicken

Ingredients
- 750 gm chicken
- 1½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 7 tbsp curd
- 4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon
- 3 cardamom
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 5 green chillies
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Freshly chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, add 750 gm chicken. Add 1 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 4 tbsp curd and mix well with chicken. Let chicken marinate for ½ hr to 1 hr.
Step 2
Add 2 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter in a kadai. Let the butter melt.
Step 3
Once butter is melted, add 4 cloves, 4 cardamom, 1 cinnamon,1 tsp black pepper and stir it for 1 min. Keep heat on medium. Now add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and cook for another 2 min.
Step 4
Add marinated chicken in kadai and stir well. Flip chicken pieces to other side to cook chicken evenly. Cook chicken for 5 min on medium high heat. Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper powder and mix well. Let chicken cook for 10-15 min on medium low heat.
Step 5
Add 3 tbsp curd, 5 green chillies, ½ tsp garam masala and mix well. Put lid on. Cook till all water dries up from kadai and chicken appears golden in color.
Step 6
When there is only oil left in kadai, add freshly chopped coriander leaves and mix well. After 2 min turn off the heat.
Lemon pepper chicken is ready. Serve it hot.
