Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 cup mandarin orange
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries
  • ½ cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup sour cream

Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup chopped pineapple, 1 cup mandarin orange and ½ cup maraschino cherries. Mix them well together.

Step 2

Add 1 cup sour cream, ½ cup whipped cream, 1 cup mini marshmallows and 1 cup grated coconut. Combine them well with fruits.

Step 3

Cover the bowl and put ambrosia salad in a fridge for 24 hours before serving.

Transfer ambrosia salad in serving bowl and serve cold.

Tips:

  • If not 24 hours, ambrosia should be kept for at least 5-6 hours in a fridge.
  • Though it’s very easy and quick to make this recipe, remember it’s called 24 hour salad for a reason. Consider this timing when you plan.
  • Cut cherries in half.
  • You can add pecans if you like. You can add more fruits like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, grapes etc.
  • If you are using canned fruits, drain them well.
  • Use soft spatula to mix fruits together. Mandarin oranges can break easily, mix everything gently..
