Mango Coconut Burfi

Ingredients
- 1 bowl of mango
- 75 gm grated coconut
- 5 tbsp milk powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- Few chopped nuts for garnishing
Method
Step 1
Take 1 bowl of mango and add it in a blender. Blend to smooth puree.
Step 2
In kadai, add ½ cup milk and 5 tbsp milk powder. Mix them well. Keep heat on medium low. Keep stirring continuously for 10 min. Once it thickens, add 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) in it and stir well. Add 70 gm grated coconut in kadai and mix well.
Step 3
Keep stirring coconut on medium flame. After coconut is mixed well with milk, add mango puree in it. Mix mango puree well with coconut mixture. Add 1 tbsp ghee. Stir continuously for 10 min.
Step 4
Add 200 gm sugar in mixture and mix well. Add ½ tsp cardamom powder once sugar melts. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
Step 5
Turn off the heat once mixture thickens and separate from kadai. Do not overcook the mixture. It will turn chewy if you overcook.
Step 6
Use greased parchment paper in plate/tray and transfer mixture into it. Use spatula and spread mixture evenly. Garnish with chopped nuts. Let mixture cool down.
Step 7
Cut into square pieces once cooled down. Use airtight container for leftovers.
Mango Coconut Burfi is ready. You can serve as it is or you can store it in refrigerator to serve it chilled. Both way, it tastes better.
